This year’s exhibition takes its point of departure in the crises of our time and shows how 38 artists work in and around this context with an insistent and distinctive seriousness. All the walls of Den Frie Exhibition Building have been painted black, while Grønningen FOCUS, the curated addition to the main exhibition, lights up the building from the outside. Two gestures that create a framework for art at a time when it must find its way into and out of the darkness.
