Klostertorv Boogie Woogie
Light installation for Klostertorv, City of Aarhus
Site specific public artwork, with lighting as a central element installed on Klostertorv in the city of Aarhus. The artwork functions in both daylight as well as the evening time and has the purpose of supporting a sense of safety, while adding to the history of this important square in the middle of the city.
Colaboration between ARoS Artmuseum and Lys på Aarhus, Municipality of Aarhus. The project is supported by Statens Kunstfond and Købmand Herman Sallings Foundation.
The light installation consists of two sculptures - one on each side of Frue Kirkeplads.
Painted steel, glas with foils inlaid, spraycolor, LED lights.
Sculpture on square Klostertorv: 8 m x 2,20 m x 1 m.
Sculpture in front of monastery church: 7 m x 1,50 m x 1 m.
